Connect your email

Email is part of the Pro and Agency plans (and the free trial). Setup takes about five minutes: your mailbox keeps working as before, and Fareply receives a copy of each enquiry.

Before you start

1. Get your forwarding address

  1. Open Channels, find Email and click Connect an email address.
  2. Enter the address travellers write to, for example [email protected], and the name your replies should show.
  3. Fareply shows a private forwarding address. Copy it.

2. Forward your mailbox

Once the first email arrives, the Channels page shows forwarding works.

3. How replies are sent

Replies go to the traveller by email, in the same thread (with "Re:" and the original subject). At first they are sent as Your agency via Fareply, with your own address as the reply address, so the traveller's answer comes back to your mailbox and, through the forwarding, to Fareply.

To send from your own address, click Send from my own address and add the three DNS records Fareply shows at your DNS provider (for example Cloudflare, GoDaddy or your host's cPanel). They only allow Fareply to send for your domain; they do not change where your mail is delivered. Then click Check DNS now. This works for your own domain, not for free mailboxes such as Gmail or Outlook.com.

Stop it

Remove the forwarding in your mailbox, then click Disconnect on the Channels page. Past conversations stay in your inbox.
