Fareply

WeChat for DMCs serving Chinese groups

Chinese tour operators and tour leaders work on WeChat. They ask about hotels, guides, rooming lists and payments at all hours, in Chinese, often while your office is closed. Fareply connects your WeChat Service Account to the group desk, so these questions are answered in Chinese, straight from your group files, and changes go to your team.

What Chinese partners ask on WeChat

The partner writesMeaningFareply
AG-26118 现在什么状态?What is the status of AG-26118?Every service with its status and confirmation number, in Chinese
酒店都确认了吗?Are all the hotels confirmed? The hotels only
导游电话多少?What is the guide's phone number?Tour leader, guide and driver with phones
分房表收到了吗?Did you get the rooming list?Which version arrived, when, and whether it is checked
确认单发我一下Please send the confirmationThe voucher link from the file
我们要加2个人We need to add 2 peopleA change request on the file, and a reply for your team to send
A WeChat conversation in the Fareply Inbox: the partner asks for the status of group AG-26118 in Chinese and gets a full status answer listing each hotel, transfer, guide and activity with its status and confirmation number.

Your team does not need to read Chinese

Every answer is built from the group file with fixed wording, then written in the partner's language. Your team sees in English which file was found, what was asked and what the answer contains. Statuses, dates, phone numbers and confirmation numbers are copied from the file, never written by the AI. For anything the file cannot answer, the conversation goes to your team with the reason shown.

A Service Account, not personal WeChat

Most DMCs talk to Chinese partners from staff members' personal WeChat. That works until someone is on leave, a phone is lost, or nobody knows what was promised. Fareply connects an official WeChat Service Account (服务号) instead: one company account, one shared inbox, every conversation kept.

Setting up as a company outside China

Companies registered outside mainland China can open a WeChat Service Account directly, without a Chinese entity. In short:

  1. Register an Official Account as an overseas enterprise; overseas companies can only open the Service Account type.
  2. Prepare your company registration certificate, the administrator's ID, an application letter and an authorization letter, and a recent phone bill or bank statement. The administrator needs a WeChat account.
  3. Pay WeChat's verification fee (USD 99 per application at the time of writing). Review usually takes 7 to 15 working days.
  4. Once verified, connect it to Fareply on the Channels page. Step by step: Connect WeChat.

With the DMC onboarding package we help you through the WeChat setup and the connection.

WeChat's limits, handled

The Share status dialog with language Chinese, the partner's WeChat contact selected, and the full status message written from the file.
Share status: choose Chinese and the partner's WeChat contact, check and send.

Changes stay with your team

When a partner asks for more rooms, an extra traveller or a different flight, Fareply records a change request on the group file and prepares a reply saying it was noted. That reply is never sent automatically, and nothing in the booking changes on its own.

Pricing

WeChat and the group desk are part of the DMC plans: DMC at €790 per month with 300 open group files and DMC Plus at €1,490 per month with 1,000. WeChat's own verification fee is paid to WeChat. DMC onboarding is €990 once. See DMC plans.

Questions

Can Fareply read our WeChat group chats with partners?

No. WeChat does not allow outside software to connect to personal accounts or group chats. Partners write to your Service Account instead, one to one, and each conversation is linked to their company.

Do partners have to install anything?

No. They scan your QR code in WeChat and write as they always do.

Which languages?

Answers follow the partner's language: Chinese, English, Spanish, Turkish, French, German, Italian or Arabic.

We are a DMC in Turkey. Can we use this?

Yes. Fareply is for DMCs and agencies outside mainland China that receive Chinese groups, in Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and elsewhere. It is not offered to companies based in mainland China.

Do Chinese travellers also write to us?

They can, on the same Service Account. Travellers get quotes from your approved rate sheets; see Answer Chinese travellers on WeChat.
