Connect Messenger and Instagram
One connection brings both: messages to your Facebook Page and to the Instagram professional account linked to it.
Before you start
- Sign in to Facebook with an account that manages the Page (full control or messaging permission).
- For Instagram: the account must be a professional (business or creator) account linked to that Page.
- In the Instagram app: Settings, Messages and story replies, Message controls, Connected tools, turn on Allow access to messages. Without it Instagram sends nothing to Fareply.

Connect
- On Channels (owners), click Continue with Facebook. You go to Facebook and come back.
- Allow access to the Page (and its Instagram account) when Facebook asks.
- Back in Fareply, click Connect next to the Page. Its Instagram account is shown underneath and connected too. Choose within 15 minutes.
If the card says Fareply connects them for you, open a support request with the topic Connecting a channel.
Common problems
"No Pages found for this Facebook account"
The Facebook account you used does not manage the Page, or you did not select the Page when Facebook asked. Sign in with the right account, or click Continue with Facebook again and select the Page. Pages owned by a business portfolio need your person added to the Page in Business settings.
"No Instagram account linked"
Link the Instagram professional account to the Page (Page settings, Linked accounts), then connect again.
"This sign-in has expired" or "could not be verified"
Click Continue with Facebook again and finish within 15 minutes.
Messages stopped arriving
Click Continue with Facebook and connect the same Page again. This renews the access.
Reply window and length
Like WhatsApp, you can reply within 24 hours of the traveller's last message; after that, a new reply is possible once they write again. Messenger allows up to 2,000 characters, Instagram 1,000. Replies your team sends from the Messenger or Instagram apps appear in the inbox too, and Fareply then leaves that conversation to your team for 24 hours.
